This week has been the Festival of San Jorge, Caceres' patron saint, so there have been music concerts and processions all week. On Monday we went to a traditional folk music concert which I thought was really good. Hey, just a quick update before I play Sara in tennis. We leave tomorrow for Portugal! The bus trip is close to four hours, with a stop in Badajoz. We're hoping for great weather (which shouldn't be a problem here!) so we can hit the beach for a little while, and plan on seeing all the sites too. I guess I never really said that I joined the swim team here-- in late February I joined the team, so I've been training for a couple weeks now. We swim every night...

Plans have been made! We've got a hostel at the base of Mount Olympus and plan to hike to the summit on Sunday the 5th. As for afterwards Jeff and I are slowly putting together our trip through Italy and Switzerland and who knows where else. So far I have tickets from Madrid to Dublin to Glasgow, Edinburgh to Rome, Rome to Venice.... no return ticket yet! Another great week in Caceres. Its Sunday afternoon, I just got back from Mass (the usher no longer asks me if I'm there for a tour!!!) and in a little bit we're meeting up at the Gastronomic Fair. Ok, I finally finished putting up the pictures and writing on them. A little bit more about the trip, we have to take a 4 hour bus ride to Madrid before we can go anywhere outside of Spain, so that makes travel a little difficult.
