Ok so I know its been a really long time but I just realized I never put up my pictures from Monfrague. Not to much to say, the pictures say most of it, but I did have an interesting time getting there. The Monfrague train station is conveniently located 18 KM from the park entrance…. In the middle of nowhere. I had all day so I started walking, just figured I wouldn't have much time at the park. I got a lift though, from a couple from Holland that spoke English… made it to the park in no time, where I arranged a ride back with a worker in the tourist information center.

The park was beautiful, I hiked all day to a Roman bridge, then up to some castle ruins. The area is famous for eagles, but I didn't have binoculars to take and only saw one flying around.

I did get in trouble for eating my bocadillo too close to the river's edge, I hadn't even waded in yet!
