Today we travelled from Dublin to Belfast it took about 2 hours, bit dicey in the cities, but once we got onto the motorway it was easier.
We arrived at lunch time and hopped on a city bus tour, we could not get a seat up top, but it rained (lol) however we did join them eventually to get some better pictures.
Belfast is confronting, it is a city trying to get on but still caught up with the past. We toured around the Shankill District which still has a wall which divides the protestants from the catholics, sad to see it has not been taken down!
The city itself is going through some changes, there are murals everywhere depicting messages of peace!
Like most cities it has some nice buildings, not quite as much history as other cities we have visited because Belfast is not that old, getting out of the city tomorrow. Weather cool and wet, nice summer!
