Today we travelled to Cork, on the way we stopped at Blarney Castle, we climbed the tower (105) steps! and Sarah kissed the Blarney Stone, I was the official photographer ( and I was still getting over the trauma of the spiral staircase).
We then travelled to Cork and had a traditional Irish lunch in (what else) an Irish pub. We found a Gloria Jean cafe and walked back to the bus savoring our find.
On the way back we stopped at Cashel castle, another 12th century castle and cathedral, castle count now in double figures!
We also travelled through Tipperary and Kilkenny.
Weather has been great! No rain, whilst we were in Cork it was poring rain in Dublin, by the time we got back to Dublin it was fine! Big day, but worth the effort.
