Today we travelled into Nottinghamshire to Sherwood Forest, we walked 1km to the Major Oak tree which is 1,000 years old! said to have been Robin Hoods hiding place.
Sarah had a go at Archery! and managed to hit the target once! she is so impressed she's thinking of taking it up at home.
We then traveled to Clumber Park and strolled through the grounds, until Sarah dragged me to the bike hire place. We chose a trail and away we went, 5miles (7.5km) later! we returned to the hire place! Despite the distance the scenery was great (when I could take my eyes of the track).
After a short recovery we traveled to Newark to see a Medieval Castle ( not many left of this vintage) pretty interesting.Stopped for AM tea, the floating pub was tempting but we had a long drive to the hotel, so we went to Costa's (coffee chain of choice).
