I've been working on this list for awhile now, but I never thought the time of posting was going to come or at least I didn't think it was going to come this fast. Today is my last full day in Ireland, because we basically are leaving in the middle of the night to get to the airport.
I am so lucky to call Cork a second home, and I'm going to miss living and being here more than anything.

This is for all the future Thetas, Residents, and Friends who plan on making Cork their home away from home for a few months:
1. It does rain in Ireland, but not as much as you would think and not nearly as much as I expected. To me it was similar to the Caribbean. It rains a little almost everyday, but not all day everyday. Don't listen to what people say about the Irish not wearing rain gear or using umbrellas. They do, BRING IT.
2. Even though classes are different here than they are at home, they're still important. So many people told me classes are a joke abroad, that wasn't the case at UCC. Attendance was a little bit of a joke- even for the Irish students. But I attended every class because when your whole grade is riding on one final exam, it's pretty important to know what's going on.
3. Go out ALL THE TIME. I don't even mean just to the pubs, but even if it's just into town or for a sweet, do it. When will you ever do this again?
4. Treat yourself all the time. You only have so much time here, buy that penny's scarf or that pastry from the English Market. Why not?
5. Try everything. Even if it looks weird, it's probably good.
6. Fall in love with everything and every place.
7. Write it all down, blogging and journaling was the best decision I've ever made. I can't wait to look back on all the things I did and think, "WOW, I can't believe I saw/did all those things." How else am I going to prove to my kids that I was cool once upon a time?
8. Take it all in, enjoy every second.
9. Get lost, wander and explore. Don't worry, I promise you aren't lost.
10. If you're on the fnece, do it. It'll be the best thing you've ever done and who knows maybe I'll come visit!
