You're right! Alex has to cook for herself while she's here... I've made some good things, but definitely nothing up to "Lorena Standards." While being here Hannah, Holly and I have learned a few things around the kitchen and how to grocery shop- it's a lot harder here than you think!
We have to bring our own shopping bags or else they charge you for grocery bags/ you look like you have no idea what's going on if you don't have the reusable bags (we learned that the hard way).
This is such a struggle when you have bought a lot of heavy items such as milk and a lot of fruit and only have two bags and STILL have to walk to the bus station in the city centre. Usually we walk into town since it's only a half an hour or so, but with twenty pounds worth of groceries- we have to take the bus for 1.90 Euro.
Just a few things I've made:
January 2nd: Pasta and jared sauce (sorry Mom!)
January 3rd: UCC took us out to dinner (thank god.)
January 4th: Pasta, jarred sauce, salad (yup again.)
January 5th: Magarita Monday! (This is going to be a reoccurring thing because Tacos are pretty easy to make.)
January 6th: Quesadilla with mushrooms, peppers and cheese
January 7th: Omelet with mushrooms, peppers and cheese
January 8th: Chicken and sauteed veggies
January 9th: Tortellini
January 10th: Cereal
January 11th: Grilled cheese with tomato soup that comes in a powder and you add boiling water to it...
January 12th: Quesadilla with avocado
January 13th: Turkey sandwich
January 14th: Quesadilla
January 15th: Chicken Quesadilla
January 16th: Pasta
January 17th: Way too full from Fishy Fishy and Kinsale to even think about dinner tonight!
January 18th: The night we've been waiting for all week- our big girl slumber party- Eat Pray Love, pizza and beer!
January 19th- Pasta
January 20th- Quesadilla
January 21st- I made scones, they turned out okay!
January 22nd- Chicken Katchatori- I'm getting creative!
February 6th- Stuffed pepper
Are you impressed?
Cheers!
Al
