We started our visit of the capitol with a tour of the royal yacht Britannia. I'd been looking forward to this & it didn't disappoint. She was not overstated just very comfortably & well appointed. I loved every bit of her. She was launched in 1953 & has averaged a around the world trip every year since then. We couldn't get over the single beds in the Queen & Dukes separate bedrooms, but I suppose it wouldn't do for anybody to imagine them in bed together. It was still decorated in 50's furniture,& her room in pink & green floral. Bob commented, it would do him nicely. We finished our tour with a silver service lunch on the middle deck that had been glass enclosed so you can look out over the water. We had pea & ham soup, salmon & cream cheese finger sandwiches & paprika wedges with garlic dip. The tea was a Edinburgh special blend. Everything of coarse, was delicious.
We found a great chinese restaurant that night called Chop Chop if you are ever in Morrison St. I've really missed Lillys Chinese so it was nice to find this one.
