The Merchants Of OZ!
'Dame Gracie Hillary' completed the climb of southern Western Australia's highest mountain Bluff Knoll with the assistance of her two able sherpas - Mum and Dad! Not sure who needed more assistance - her or Mum and Dad!
This climb is a 6.2km return Grade 5 walk. It is quite steep with pathways and high steps. We made it up in 2 and down again in 1 1/2 hours. The view is fantastic and you can look all over the Stirling Ranges from this peak.
Almost at the top, Gracie spotted a snake which was sunning itself on a big rock. We think it was a Tiger snake. Another animal in the wild to add to our list!
We camped the night at Moingup Springs in the National Park and had another quiet night away from road trains and caravan park noise.
