Friday 5th - Left Broome this morning and headed down the North Western Coastal Highway to Cape Keraudren. It is a Pilbara Council run property which has no showers only pit toilets so you need to take your own water and food etc. We stayed at the end campsite with a few others and set up the van at dusk after the day on the road.
Saturday 6th - This morning some people moved out of the campsite and we moved the van into their position at the end of the road. The view is awesome as is shown by the photo. We went for a walk at low tide out onto the reef and sand. Saw lots of sea slugs and clams and Steve found an old clam shell for Gracie that still has both sides hinged. There is a wallaby and joey that come around to the sites and wanders through the campsite. Tonight a 'creature' was dropped out of the sky and fell on the table.. We figured out a bird must have dropped it as it was a Hermit Crab!! We looked around and there were heaps of them, big and little and in a great range of shells, all heading in the same direction.
Sunday 7th - This morning we decided to stay another night as we like it so much here. Relaxed with the wallaby, hermit crabs and our books. We went down to the creek for a swim but only a shallow dip to cool off as there can be crocodiles around the area.
