We have had a couple of great days at El Questro. There are not too many people at the moment so we have had a large flat grassed area. Gracie has really improved on her bike and is now riding well without training wheels.
The temperature has been in the 40s although not sure of exactly how high it has gotten. There are no powered sites here so... No aircon!! We have really begun to like having it to cool down at sleep time.
We went to some of the gorges. Emma Gorge is on the way into El Questro and is a 3.2km return walk. The gorge has a beautiful big pool with 65m high sheer walls on three sides. Lovely and refreshing after a walk in the heat - even when you do it early in the morning!
We drove out to El Questro Gorge and needed to do some 4x4 driving and also a water crossing. Harry Hilux got a little wet with the water going over the running boards. Another great walk along the creek bed with lots of rocks for Gracie to have to climb over.
The river that runs through El Questro has been dammed up a bit and provides a swimming spot at the 'resort'.
On the way out, we went to Zebedee Springs - hot springs that run down the hill like little waterfalls and pools. We were there early and managed to grab a great spot with our own pool and waterfall.
