Arrived in Holmenkollen by train from Oslo S and walked up the hill to the ski jump. Took some photos from ground level then went to the top of the ski jump tower for photos of Oslo, the Oslo fjord and surrounds. Great view from the top, especially looking down the ski jump itself!

We then walked back to train station at Holmenkollen to catch train back to Oslo. After a long wait a train arrived, then went for a few stations and stopped, someone on the train translated the announcement that the train system was down and that we were not going any further for at least an hour. People got out and walked, some stayed on board the train. 5-10 minutes later another announcement said we were going as a far as Froen station which was 1 stop from a station where we could connect to a tram or bus back to Oslo.

Eventually the train did run all the way back to Oslo S about 40 minutes late. We walked back to the hotel, rested then went out for dinner. Decided to catch a tram down to the parliament stop and went to TGI Friday. We were told there was a wait as they were full but we could try the next door Fridays American Bar that had the same menu. We went next door and got a table and ate and then caught a tram back to Oslo S and went back to the room to pack our bags for flight on to Bergen tomorrow.
