We slept in til 8am and then had breakfast at the hotel.

Started walking tour of Oslo starting in the Grønland district then walked up past the Gunerius building to Storgata and the Opera House.

We walked on to Youngstorget and then down Torgata to the Parliament, Stortinget, situated at one end of Eidsvolls Plass with its frozen pond in the centre. At the other end of the square was the National Theatre.

We continued on past the University up to the National Gallery and National History Museum before stopping for a coffee.

Next we walked up to the Royal Palace with the views down Karl Johan's Gate. At this point we contemplated the longer walk up to the Vigeland Sculpture Park but decided to return to the hotel for some lunch and then catch the metro out to Majorstuen and then walked up to the park.

Wandered through the snow-covered park and over the bridge to the top of the main scuplture area and the obelisk in the centre. We then caught the metro back to the main train station and returned to the hotel for a rest. Went to dinner at Scotsman Restaurant on the main street where I had reindeer for dinner before returning ot the hotel for a sleep.
