Got up at 9am, bought a day ticket for the metro and went to Keleti Station to reserve seats on the train to Bratislava on Friday.

Caught the metro back to Vörösmarty Tér. and walked to the Chain Bridge. Crossed the bridge and caught the bus up to the castle as the funicular was not working due to maintenance. Stated our tour around the castle area at the Royal Palace with its views over the Danube down to the Houses of Parliament.

Continued down past Szentháromság Tér to St.Matthias' Church where we stopped for lunch bought from a nearby bakery. After lunch we walked on to the Fisherman's Bastion which also had excellent views over the Danube.

We then caught the metro back to the hotel for a rest before walking across Elizabeth Bridge and walking up to the Citadel to take in the views of the Danube, castle and the Chain Bridge. Walked back down to to the hotel eating a quick dinner on the way before resting up for our trip to the Danube Bend tomorrow.
