After breakfast we walked to Metro station at St.Lazare via the bank for some money. Caught Metro to Abesses station near Sacré Coeur then caught the Funicular to the top of the hill to visit Sacré Coeur. Great views of Paris although a lot of haze limited the visibility. Entry was free but no photography was allowed inside.
Caught the Metro back down to the Louvre and looked around in the courtyard with its glass pyramids. Back on the Metro to Champs Élysées for lunch before catching the Metro to see the Pantheon. Took some pictures but the €7 entry fee scared us off from visiting inside.
Caught Metro back to Miromesnil and walked to our hotel for arest. Went out in search of dinner at 5pm planning on getting a take away pizza from but they didn't open until 6pm so we ended up buying 5 crepes from the same window we got them from the day before.
Returned to our hotel and ate the crepes, then got ready for the Seine cruise and Illuminations tour which had a 7pm pick-up from the hotel. Got picked up from the hotel at 6.50pm and were taken to Paris Tourisme office where we paid our money and got our tickets for the Seine cruise and Illumination Tour. We got dropped off at Pont Neuf for the Seine Cruise at 7.20pm with the cruise starting at 8pm.
We got seats on the roof of the boat but decided to go indoors was the view was just as good, there were less people and it was a lot warmer! The boat filled up as two bus loads arrived just before we departed. Rain began to fall and a mass exodus of people from the roof filled the indoor section of the boat. The rain stopped after 10 minutes but everyone stayed indoors.
The cruise was good seeing many of the major sights and some things we didn't know about that we could see the next day. The cruise ended and we were picked up from Pont Neuf and taken back to Paris Tourisme where the Illumination Tour was to begin. We were crammed into a minibus which meant the view wasn't great but we stopped off at the sights and took some pictures. Also had many trips up and down the Champs Élysées and around the Arc de Triomphe. We also got a view of the Eiffel Tower from an angle we hadn't seen yet which was quite good. We got dropped off at our hotel at 11.30pm and went straight to bed after a long day.
