Happy Hari Raya Pagerwesi! Balinese holiday is on, which means we have a day off from school... works for me. School started here on last monday and whether you believe it or not we actually DO study here... and next week we have our first presentation. Even though the school here is different compared to my own university, it is quite fascinating to learn new stuff in a totally different environment... but I'll be back to tell you all about the school after couple of weeks.

In these last couple of days I have managed to surf, although the waves has been quite small and short, couple of biggies every now and then. Every surf session happened in a different spot: Nusa Dua, Kuta, Balangan and Padang Padang... and still have lots of spots near that I haven't conquered yet, so saying it short this place is exactly like I imagined and loving it. Last monday I went to Balangan before school, cool head high lefties rolling, sitting on my board as the sun rose, taking waves, thinking all kind of stuff in my life, the good, the bad, the ugly and the beautiful ones. Felt so amazing! Just to make you little more jealous, my dear one or two readers, we have had other fun activities too like another pool party yesterday, enjoying a fresh squeezed juice or beer while sun bathing and getting to know new people... you know, the usual stuff. One of the best things in this exchange program is, that there are no strangers but just friends you haven't met yet.

I have learned some basics of Bahasa language here and new words catching all the time. It is quite fun to speak with the locals their own language and see the famous Asian smile on their faces. It is fun, but it is also so much easier and in some cases cheaper to throw some local small talk... and of course it is respectful too, I don't want to be just like every redneck drunken western here thinking that english is the one and only language. But yeah, I'm gonna enjoy rest of my day off, so Peace Out!
