Awesome day! Zammit took me to Josephine Falls and the Golden hole.
Josephine falls is the only waterfall I've seen, which was definately on my to do list. Its situated somewhere round Innisfails, Zammit would kill me for my geography! Innisfails is absolutely beautiful, vast views of rainforest and sugar cane fields, just so green. A really spectacular drive before we even got there. The falls. Well its amazing, I wanna grow up here! Why go to a swimming pool, when you can go to this fresh water swimming hole with a natural slide made of rock. There were bright blue dragon flies everywhere and the sound of the waterfall as you paddled through the clear water. Zammit made me jump straight in, which was a great idea as it was a bit nippy! I was completely blown away, swimming in the middle of the oldest rainforest in the world. Felt like the luckiest girl on the planet.
We had just enough time to visit the Golden hole. Which was a beautiful creek, again surrounded by dense rainforest. We clambered upstream over huge boulders and rocks, which were all smooth and circular from the water errosion. The sun was out, and we dipped our feet in the water as we watched the fish. On our way back we swung of a massive tree vine like tarzan!
Was such a great day, followed by an awesome night!
So tonight was my last night shift working at the bar at Gilligans. Zammit and I were on the deck bar. It was crazy! Throwing ice at each other, downing so many shots and drinks, we were smashed by ten! Zammit filled up a bucket and covered me in water while I was serving customers. We were a mess, the bar was a mess, the customers left confused or laughing at how pissed we were. Then Zammit tells me to go collect glasses by the pool and pushes me in, I had to finish cleaning the bar and serving customers completely drenched. Was an absolutely awesome end to a crazy, drunken, fun fun era of my life.
BIG THANKS TO ZAMMIT FOR AN AWESOME DAY AND NIGHT!
