After yesterdays waste, I decided to make up for it and visit Kuranda.
Got the bus to the Skyrail, which is like rail over the top of the Daintree Rainforest. The views was completely stunning, and because I didn't go with a tour I didnt have to share a kart. Had the 360 view all to myself. So green. Real contrast to ALice Springs.
Arrived at Kuranda after a tour with a guide along aboradwalk in the rainforest. Kuranda is a really small town. There were lots of organic shops and a real hippy feel. Its a complete retreat. Its in the middle of the rainforest. Not a party town or anything, a real place to just be content with a house, a little money and your love.
I went for a walk along the Barron river and saw huge green dragon flies.
One day in Kuranda is all you need, as its so small. Definately not somewhere I could live, I'm far too fidgety! For the journey back I tool the scenic railway, which wound in out of the rainforest, passing waterfalls and waterholes. I was sompletely shattered though, not sure why, slept through most of it! Just couldn't keep my eyes open no matter how hard I tried!
