Awoke to the news that a hurricane is expected to land here in New Orleans. Hope all is well with the city.
Needed to make our way to our next stop, Panama City Beach. Expecting some bad weather there too, so hoping to get in a little beach time before the rain hits. Left the city driving past, over and through the bayou county of Louisiana. Made our way through Alabama and around Mobile before entering the Florida panhandle. Traveled, and got there in good time, settled into our rooms on the 20th floor facing the ocean. Spectacular!
Changed and made our down to the beach, relaxing and enjoying the ocean breezes with a cocktail. Stayed long enough to see a wonderful sunset!
Back upstairs, changed and went to the restaurant next door. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the ocean. They even had a singer that night, and as we sat there, we were treated to a fireworks display. Awesome. Did I mention the food and drinks were great too?
Back to the condo, hoping the weather holds for tomorrow morning at least. Larry is hoping for golf, and I am hoping for a nice long walk on the beach.
