Woke up to a beautiful sunny morning in La Crosse. After a slow start, decided to go exploring the trail near the hotel. Walked along the Marsh trail. Lovely leveled paved trail through the marshes and some woods around the city. We saw animal life that included lots of herons (several types), egrets,ducks, geese, and even a small green lake turtle! The trail led us back into town and beside the university. Well, we arrived here today as the first major stop in our trip. Spent Sunday night in Fremont, Indiana. Drove today through Indiana and points west, even passing the RV and MH Hall of fame! Who knew? Continued through Chicago and Illinois before entering Wisconsin.
