G'day mates from Oz!!

Its amazing to be here and things have started with a bang!! after arriving at our hostel 'jj backpackers' we settled in for a few days just going down to the lagoon swimming and shopping for food..it's great cooking for ourselves!!! We decided to rent a car for 3 days and visit the surrounding area as there's loads of waterfalls and natural water holes to swim with no crocs living there.....the night before we were leaving we'd managed to get a group of about 9 or 10 of us staying at the hostel to go out for a drink at the famous 'Woolshed' Ria got absouletly hammered and I wasn't far behind to be fair!! We left for our trip the nxt day with 2 Irish boys sharing the cost Mono and Andy we had a goodnight drunk some beer and went croc hunting in Cape tribulation no joy though!! We got back to Cairns with only 1 Irish guy as the other 1 went missing after going to a party with the locals!! We left him $15 and anote he eventually turned up 2.30pm and hitched a lift back to Cairns!!

There was some amazing places at up north like 'Rex Lookout' great view of the great barrier reef and 'Mossman Gourge' a natural crytal clear water hole pretty amazing and great to swim!!

We also went on a little tour of Cairns a few days before this and swam in more swimming holes the best being the 'Crytal Cascades' and we visited a few remote beaches and seen a fisherman catch a little Shark really cool!!

We have been out just about everynight we've been here possibly the best night on another journal entry 'Atherton' look it up. We've made some great friends.....Matt,Gavin,Elliott,Danish Girls,Maggie,Neil and Mark so plenty of company. The place is just fantastic the date today 21st November and we're still in Cairns been here 2 weeks nearly. We'll update this page again soon. Check out Atherton page. Love Ben and Riaxx
