We had a full day in beautiful Buenos Aires. We started our day with a Tigre Delta River Cruise. This took us to the city of Tigre where we boarded a boat to cruise through the islands to see vacation homes and year round residents. They receive their supplies via a supermarket boat that delivers to their docks. People were swimming and playing in this river but I don't think I would enter this very brown water. The Delta River is the widest River in the world with some areas as wide 150 miles.
In the afternoon we took a city tour of Buenos Aires. The tour took us through the 9 neighborhoods and highlights of the city. It's a very cosmopolitan city and a melting pot of very different types of people who shaped the identity of each neighborhood. The government is in a transition with a recent new president and some protests in the city center.
We enjoyed our evening the most with dinner and tango show at Cafe Los Angelitos. We had a fabulous dinner, great Argentine wine and ending with a great "Tango Performance". The dancers were unbelievable with more complicated moves than you could imagine. The performance of the dancers, singers and musicians was fabulous! They do have a love affair with tango in this city!
Great day!
