We did return to the beautiful ocean blue water! We visited Puerto Madryn today and took a tour with other friends we have met on the ship. We did not have an English speaking guide and non of us spoke Spanish so it was sort of like charades?!?!
We went to Punta Loma which is a breeding ground for the amazing South American Sea Lions. We were very close as these huge males protected their territory. The male weighs as much as 2100 lbs and is 3 times the size of the female. Thier mane looks just like a lion when they are dry. After just a few days of eating on the ship I think I might catch up to their weight by the end of the 14 days.
The sea birds and wild life in these ports are amazing.
