I got up around 8ish this morning and went to have breakfast, which seemed to take ages to arrive, even though it was only bread and beans. I then had to run around and find the hotel manager so I could get my bus ticket to get back to Cairo. I finally managed it and was transferred down to the bus stop by a really crazy driver who drove at the speed of light. Although, this was probably a good thing as I was running late.
I got on the bus and we drove around the oases picking people up at various stops, before heading out onto the desert road towards Cairo. As soon as we were at the point of no return the driver put this CD on which was literally just some guy screaming in Arabic, no music at all, just screaming at full volume. It was on nearly the whole way, luckily I had my ipod, and thought to myself, Compete with my music you f***ers.
I endured the 5 hour bus ride back to Cairo and then had to get in a cab at Ramses train station to get to the Canadian hostel to meet back up with the group. I got lucky, I must have got the only cab driver in Cairo who didn't want to take me to a perfume shop or over charge me. I got to Talaat Harb and had to look around as it wasn't where I expected it to be. A nice local showed me how to get there, again without taking me to a perfume shop.
