At 4:30am I was driven though Cairo at night by a nice Saudi man named Ahmed. We drove through deserted downtown and the deserted slums and onto pyramids road. We then turned off and drove off the track to some stables and had some tea with the owner of one of them. I bought myself a 2.5 hour camel ride in the desert to watch the sunrise over Cairo.
