I woke today just before the airport curfew which I assume is 6:00am as shortly after about 4 planes thundered overhead causing the caravan to vibrate. Lisa slept through it all, probably because she is wearing earplugs to attenuate the snoring from her husband! Sunny and warm today so wore the tee shirt and shorts straight away! A quick trip to the supermarket to restock and we departed the park close to 10:00am. The front gate is a bit narrow and all the residents were having a morning tea by the pool and waving goodbye to us so I was very conscious of not taking out the front gate as we left! We had grabbed a coffee before we left from the onsite coffee van that was a 1 minute walk from our van and we parked down a side street and went for a walk along the river, drinking our coffee before we headed north. Unfortunately, we forgot to top up our water tank before we left and so we had to search for a tap. Sadly google maps took us on a wild goose chase and we ended up in a very small dead end which was very difficult to turn around in. We did however provide some entertainment for the people sitting around in the park! Eventually we found the tap next to the Currumbin Creek boat ramp and successfully filled up. Onward then towards Brisbane stopping at a nice cheap bush camp called Tranquility Park (rather appropriately as the first moon landing was at the Sea of Tranquility on the moon and the 50 year anniversary is in 4 days!)
