Beautiful weather again so sat outside for breakfast watching fish jumping out of the water! Amazing! Packed up and drove to Aldi for a restock and then drove to Yuraygir National Park and found a spot near Lake Arragan. There were several possible campsites but we weren’t sure whether the one we had stopped at was overnight or day use so we drove down another road to one of the other sites listed. The trees were quite close together snd the further we drove the closer they got! We got to a point where there was only millimeters gap on each side. (I could sense a stiff drink was going to be needed later!) A lady camper saw our predicament and came to give instructions, left no right no back up jezzus etc. Lisa took over and did a great job of getting us through. Once at the campsite we decided to go out again as I would have been lying awake at night stressing about getting out tomorrow. It took almost as long to get back out again and how we didn’t tear the awning off the van I’ll never know! Anyhow we returned to the original site and vowed not to move again unless ordered to by police! The ranger came by and told us we were ok to camp where we were but was amazed that we had got our van in and out of the other spot! There was s fireplace set up so we found some wood and had a nice campfire (and a stiff drink!)(again)
