Woke to the sound of cockatoos squawking which was lovely. (ask me in nine weeks if I still feel the same way!) Drove to Parkes, stopping at West Wyalong for a cuppa. There was a full size DC-3 in the local park which I enjoyed more than the usual steam train! Checked in to the Spicer Caravan Park and the staff directed us to our site, even giving us hand signals to line us up correctly. After unhitching we went to the CSIRO Radio Telescope which featured in the movie ‘The Dish’ and had an enjoyable hour there before dropping in to a local pub for a beer before dinner.
