The day started out grey and bleak and didn't really improve. Our check out time was 11am but our train to Fort William didn't arrive until 1:30pm so we took our suitcases to the train station and took it in turns to mind the luggage and go for a walk. The midges aren't so bad today. Perhaps the drizzle is keeping most of them at bay. The time ended up going by surprisingly fast. After doing some grocery shopping at Fort William we caught a taxi to our accommodation about 3kms from the station. The accommodation is very nice. Quite a new apartment with everything we need. About 6:30 Di and decided to go for a walk while Gavin and Chris played chess. We ended up walking back into Fort William and window shopped and checked out some tourist possibilities. We got soaked on the way back as the days mizzle turned to drizzle then rain. The train trip from Tarbet to Fort William was pretty uneventful. Some nice scenery on the way but not much really. Fort William us on the banks of Loch Linnhe and it looks very pretty but it's hard to say when it's so grey and cloudy. I am guessing it's hilly but the clouds are to low to be able see. Hopefully the weather will improve tomorrow.
