Day 185, 5 January 2013, Knott - As you can see from the picture, the 100% chance of rain didn't arrive in time for the morning. We got the hiking boots on and took ourselves for an excursion over the fences and down to the shores of Loch Snizort. The air was certainly brisk this morning but it was worth the short walk to stand on the shore and watch 3 seals frolicking about 20 metres away. Surprisingly difficult to get a photo of the slippery little critters because they keep diving under - but managed one semi-recognisable seal profile shot for the album. We now have so much more understanding for people trying to get photos of the Loch Ness monster - you just know the second you turn around and put the camera away they're going to start doing the Can-Can behind you. In any event. Nice stroll and took ourselves back to the studio in time for the forecast rain to arrive. And stay. And stay. Which was excellent news because we had a stack of booking work to do for Italy (happening just after Bulgaria and just before Poland). So we spent the afternoon on the Italian trains website. Makes me think a picture of the Colosseum would be apt for today - but just couldn't do it when there was this stunning view of the loch from our morning stroll. Say hello to the submerged seals for us, won't you.
