Day 65, 7 September 2012, Selcuk - bus to Izmir - Flight to Istanbul - AND - The best place we've stayed in weeks - the Han Hostel Airport North, Istanbul. But more of that later! Quiet old day here. Had to pack our backpacks for the domestic flight tonight and an early international flight tomorrow - Istanbul to Marrakech, via Madrid. Day 64, 6 September 2012. Ephesus, Turkey. Today's adventure was trekking through the ancient port city of Ephesus. The ruins were impressive in parts (pictured is the Celcus Library), but a great deal of restoration occurred. Given how many earthquakes these ancient cities have suffered over the years, it's enough to start us having second thoughts about traipsing around Turkey!
