Day 182, 2 January 2013,Knott, Isle of Skye - Yesterday's dreamlike weather was, like a dream, shortlived. Today was truly a snuggle under the quilt till all hours kind of day. The rain has been sheeting in and Loch Snizort (immediately in front of our apartment) was cloaked in mist and clouds for most of the day. Incredibly good resting weather! We took Fred the Ford Focus out for a run into Portree to have a look around the shops. Not surprisingly not a lot open at this time of the year. About four actually... Though many more are slated to open tomorrow! Watched a movie. Seriously contemplated booking some travel and loading photos onto the blog. All put on hold due to lack of interest. We are incredibly blessed to have wifi at all in such a wild, woolly, desolate and wondrous place - but it can tend to come and go on the breath of the wind (for anyone skyping us... just make it a voice call!) Because today's photos are all frightfully gray, the picture above was from yesterday's drive in the sun - the promised hairy highland coo! Don't laugh too much - from our time in Edinburgh we know there is even a minibus that takes people on "hairy coo" day trips to the highlands.
