Day 190, 10 January 2013, Final day in Knott and off on adventures this afternoon. Thankfully we packed yesterday so this morning was just tidying up and cleaning out the fridge (which we then called "lunch"). Day 189, 9 January 2013, Knott -Packing day. Printing day. Sad day. Aye. Our time in the restful wilds of Skye is drawing to a close just as the day draws to a close with the sunset over Knott. We had a last drive into Portree to visit the printer at the Visitor Centre and print out the reams of tickets and what not for the next 6 weeks of travelling. Day 185, 5 January 2013, Knott - As you can see from the picture, the 100% chance of rain didn't arrive in time for the morning. We got the hiking boots on and took ourselves for an excursion over the fences and down to the shores of Loch Snizort. The air was certainly brisk this morning but it was worth the short walk to stand on the shore and watch 3 seals frolicking about 20 metres away. Surprisingly difficult to get a photo of the slippery little critters ...

Day 183, 3 January 2013, Knott,Isle of Skye - World, meet Toby. Toby, meet World. Strictly speaking we met Toby on our first morning in the studio. He picked his way down the wet path, looked in the window, caught us still in bed then waited patiently at the front door until we opened it. (It's a cat's version of knocking). Day 182, 2 January 2013,Knott, Isle of Skye - Yesterday's dreamlike weather was, like a dream, shortlived. Today was truly a snuggle under the quilt till all hours kind of day. The rain has been sheeting in and Loch Snizort (immediately in front of our apartment) was cloaked in mist and clouds for most of the day. Incredibly good resting weather!
