After deciding to not make a run for it to Mexico we stayed in Terlingua. Here we had to go into the cafe to use the wifi and I got served a huge litre can of beer. Really, everything is bigger in North America. In fact sometimes I struggle shopping for just me and Jim because the sizes of everything are double what we are used to including things like cleaning products. I know a few people who will also be happy to hear that they also have normal size bottles of wine and then big bottles! and that isn't just the cheap and nasty stuff.

Off to the Big Bend National Park today. Had hoped to see some of their resident mountain lions and black bears but we weren't so lucky or unlucky maybe. We did see some very cute deer though. Speaking of which we have also seen quite a few dead on the side of the road which weren't so cute. Oh and while we are on animals I'm not sure if I mentioned that I am finally getting to see cows actually grazing and they are very cute as well.

I also had a stint of driving today, didn't like it, feels like the van is in control of me rather than the other way around, the constant buffeting by the wind doesn't help, give me my car any day. I feel bad that Jim is doing all the driving but I won't be in a big hurry to do it again, maybe once the wind dies down.
