The wind here is insane, I suppose because it is just a long skinny island. It's a bit resorty, lot's of holiday homes and beachwear shops. So we caught the Wave over to Port Isabel and went up into the lighthouse. The wave is a free bus that you wave to and it stops for you.

One night we were having a couple of drinks and it was so windy you had to hold everything down. We braved the wind and walked down to the bar on the pier. While you were sitting there you could feel the wind shaking the pier but there were still loads of die hards fishing.
