First stop of the day was Acadia Village, where they have replicated a typical Acadian village on the bayou using old original buildings from around the area. When the Acadian's were expelled from Acadia (Nova Scotia) this is where they came as refuge. The local indians called them cadians which eventually turned into cajuns.
