Santa Fe is another town that doesn't really feel American, it has a very strong Mexican influence. All the adobe buildings are fantastic and apparently to get planning permission now you have to build to this style. Had yummy burrito's for lunch. Romped around with our camera in the sand dunes of White Sands National Monument. It's a shame we didn't have any kind of boards to go sliding down them but never mind. We waited till sunset and then headed back to camp.

Mesilla is a town where Billy the kid used to hang out. Had a few refreshing drinks in the bar above which is one of the original buildings and you can tell inside. The bar is very crooked and it's all dark and moody, loved it! Fortunately we ran out of cigarettes so had to leave, otherwise I might have stayed all night and started seeing Billy the Kid.
