Vincent had a bad back today so our initial plans of going to the zoo were changed to a day resting and trying to stay warm. The cold has been quite a shock to our systems so we wanted to have a day of pottering around the house, watching Andromeda and being under duvets. We got quite a bit of cleaning done and sorted a few hundred more DVDs but mostly rested.For dinner this evening we were invited out with some of Paul's friends, but we had to get there ourselves as he was going straight from the gym. We opted for phoning him at the point of getting into the taxi then giving the phone to the driver so he could give instructions. It's the best way we've found other than getting Kelly to write things for us on a piece of paper.Dinner was at a 'western' restaurant, but as usual there wasn't a single vegetarian thing on the menu. Luckily they had another restaurant with another menu that had veggie noodles, pasta and pizza on it so we got our own special menu. The food was good and as its not possible for me to get bored of pizza I was happy. Vincent tried to order noodles but he got pasta instead, we're not sure why but it may be something to do with the fact there isn't a word for pasta in China they just use 'noodles'.
