Greetings from Kaikoura!

I didn't sleep too well last night as I kept waking up and checking the time as I was panicking I'd miss the bus - even though I'd set two alarms!

I woke up at 6am and went for a shower in case there were queues but no-one was around so I got ready, packed my things and had a few minutes to spare.

The bus was late and didn't come till after 8 so I got chatting to a girl called Caroline who was staying at the hostel and waiting for the same bus. When the bus came, we loaded our stuff on and there was only about 10 of us in total so the driver, Nacho, made us sit next to someone else, find things out about them and tell everyone else. Problem is, the woman who was meant to tell everyone about me (a German girl called Nadine) was asleep!!

We hit the road and ended up in Kaikoura, where we had the option of doing activities such as whale watching and fishing etc. I decided not to do anything but went for a walk with Nina and Adam instead. She's really nice but I didn't like him!

The hostel was a bit scummy but gave us free soup so that made up for it slightly! Went to a quiz night with Caroline and Elin (nice Swedish girl) and slept well that night, ready to leave at 8am in the morning!
