yesterday we headed to Barrytown but stopped off at Panakaiki or 'Pancake Rocks' as the rocks look like...yep, you guessed it - pancakes. It was pretty amazing to see. It was caused by layers of hard and soft rocks being eroded over thousands of years and the soft rocks eroding faster leaving them uneven. In the shop I found that they sold possum skin/fur. Nice.

Then we headed on to Barrytown. Small place with nothing going on but we were staying in a pub with their own beer called baz-vegas. Says a lot! Mud told us we were having a fancy dress party and there was a room full of costumes so we had lots to choose from. See the pictures for the evidence!! it was such good fun and I feel like I know more people now :o)

This morning me, Jon and an Israeli girl called Lizzie did some jade carving. It was great fun but took a long time and it was very satisfying to see the finished result.
