I didn't sleep well at all last night :0( it was really hot and stuffy and the other girls in my dorm kept coming in and out - also I just didn't really feel tired and when I did nod off it was only a very light sleep :0(

I was waiting outside for the bus at 7.30am and it came at 7.45. Not many people got on but we did a few pick ups from various hostels and pretty soon the bus was nearly full. A girl from my last bus, Lauren, got on and I was pleased to have someone I recognised. She sat by me which was nice :0)

Our driver, Timmy, decided that we should all get to know each other so we had to go 'speed dating' and talk to everyone on the bus. Unfortunately not everybody got involved but I met lots of new people and I was lucky enough to be sat by the window so I didn't have to move and everyone came to me! Yay! I'm so lazy :0)

We stopped off at the stray office where we received the worlds worst PowerPoint presentation on how to use the website. It went something like this -
'so...this is the website...if it's yellow it hasn't saved and if it's green it has so, basically, if it changes colour that's good.'

YAWN. Got some free luggage tags and a pen though! Woo!

We drove for a bit and stopped for lunch as usual. Timmy said that if we all chipped in $10 he would buy as much food as he could and do a BBQ so of course I put some cash in! I opted for veggie burgers though because you can never be sure with BBQ food and I could do without food poisoning on a bus!

We went to Hot Water beach, which has thermal water underneath so if you dig a hole there is hot (sometimes TOO hot) water! It was really cool but I managed to get sunburnt :o( Just arms and shoulders this time though which is an improvement!

After that we headed to our hostel and I am in a dorm with Lauren, Rose and Mark and it is very small and hot but directly off the kitchen and next to the shower and toilet so it's not all bad.

We helped prepare the BBQ for a free beer (which I gave to Lauren) and it was sausages, salad, kumaru (sp?) and rice (which we burnt). Oh, and hokey pokey ice cream for dessert! And free breakfast! WHEE!

We all stayed up talking outside for a while and went to bed in what was essentially a sweat box. And Mark snored. Great.
