I have been with San and Dave again since 9th but nothing to report from there so I figured I would skip writing about it! We left their house at about 9am and they drove me to Whangarei to meet Tina. She met me and drove me to James and Lisa's house (my cousin and his wife). Their house is gorgeous! They have a boxer dog called Taz and James had his two kids, Chloe (8) and Cameron (3), with him for the weekend so it was nice to meet them too.
Me and Tina took the kids for a walk to the shop and back. Then me and Lisa went for a drive to a Whangarei Falls and got some racist abuse from some 12 year old Maori kids. Then me and James took Chloe to the shop to get some stuff for tea and rent a video or three (How to Train Your Dragon, Law Abiding Citizen and Once Were Warriors). We had home made burger for tea - thanks James! Then me and Lisa took Taz for a walk after tea. I have done lots of exercise today!
We watched Once Were Warriors which is a film about a Maori family and is really disturbing!

Today we saw THE BIG TREE! It's a Kauri tree called Tane Mahuta and it was one of the reasons I wanted to come to New Zealand. It's 50 odd metres high and 13.8 metres wide! Me, James, Chloe and Cameron left at 11am and got back at about 3.15pm. We went for a paddle at Kai Iwi lakes on the way home and it was beautiful blue water. They'd cut all the trees down around it which was a shame and there was loads of flying ants which got stuck in my hair. But ho hum! It was a nice day :o)
Tonight we are going for dinner at Guy's house which should be nice :o) I am hungry!
