All alone in the big wide world
Late again getting up this morning, so everybody loves me for that and being one of the youngest here everyone thinks i'm cute! What can I say Dad "Young lad like". BIg bus journey to Jodhpur this morning so got my seat on the back "everywhere we gooooo!" and got set for a big sleep. After about 90km we stopped off at Ranakpur to see one of Indias largest Jain temples, and without sounding Gay for something that was built back in the 15th century it has magnificent architecture! However because I had made us late we only had one hour and by the end of the walk around the temple everyone was thanking me for being late!! Once out of the temple we travelled to a nearby restaurant which sold believe it or not Indian cuisine...and may I add even with all this spicy food my guts are perfect, hope thats not a reflection on the food you brought me up on Mum and Dad (Guts of iron). Food was gorgeous and also saw my first camel-a very large animal! Sure ive seen a few round town anyhow because it sure was ugly!! Back on the bus in my seat I tried to get some sleep but the suspention on this bus is crazy and when I fall asleep the dreams well nightmares I have can only be described as the same feeling as been stuffed in a fridge and pushed down a mountain! Finally after endless coffee and toilet stops we arrived in Jodhpur where the houses were absolutely gorgeous. We were staying at what is locally known as a heritage home. Basically its someones large stately home which is run as a hotel and it was brilliant with all the extras! Met up at 20.00pm with Dea from the US and Steph (Aus) to head into town for a Lassi (a gorgeous milky drink). Again we went via tuck tuck which is always a good experience where you really value your life when you make it to your destination! After a wonder around town we headed bak to our place for a traditional Indian meal which was incredibly tastey! After tea I was stuffed so headed off to bed.
Hope everyone is well back in the UK
Take care and speak soon.
Mike
