25 degrees at 8:15 when I got up. Breakfast, mile, then laid out by the Terrace Pool. Very warm with a slight breeze. After lunch (baked potato and salad), it was time for BoS. Every day on this leg is slightly different and today the points per question ranged from 100 to 400 (don't ask). The men managed to shoot into the lead, but the way this one is going it could all change tomorrow. I saw the captain eating his lunch in the buffet restaurant and his wife also goes to both the knit and natter and craft sessions.
At 14:15 there was a ship's photo on the back terrace, not too many passengers involved, as I guess most were sunbathing or swimming on the other decks. Then it was a crew tug of war competition. This was great fun and it was good to see so many of the hard working crew, (and they work bloody hard), having fun. Some of the tugs were a bit mismatched, like the burly, pale engineers versus the somewhat smaller Asian bar staff. The burly, pale engineers won. Unfortunately, because of the hot weather and excitement(!) I let Barb buy me a beer, so my alcohol free day has gone for a Burton. To compound the agony, I'm having a crafty G&T in my cabin, whilst writing this before the Individual Quiz.
Lost IQ by 2 points. Saw Bruce Morrison in concert, but via the relay in Masquerades. Seen him before, but the others hadn't, so may have been on a different line. Won Commercials quiz, so that's another bottle of wine. We were a point down in Syndicate Quiz as we were last nights winners and never made up the lost ground.
Clocks back an hour later, now GMT -5.
