Another cool morning, we'll have to start getting used to them again.
It's another service day today so we head to the big supermarket on the edge of St Maure. Atfer a short wait for the machines Ali gets some washing on the go and we drive over for diesel.
After the washing and tumbling is done Ali goes shopping while Nick sits in the carpark waiting. And waiting. Reads, plays music and waits some more.
Ali is in the checkout queue that is being delayed by a women who has put half her shopping through then decides the trousers she is buying are the wrong colour and disappears to find something more aggreable. Finally when Wallace and Gromit have the right trousers, check out resumes but won't accept our eurocard despite knowing there's enough funds.
Finally Ali escapes having used nearly all our remaining cash.
By now not only are we both fed up but we need an ATM so we drive back into the aire at St Maure. The sun and breeze are ideal for airing the washing so we decide to stay here again.
Nick logs onto the eurocard site a solves the lack of funds conundrum. The fuel station raises a check-sum of €130 to verify the card, then debits the €88.90 for the fuel we receive, but banks and account systems can't seem to immediately cancel the security value, meaning as far as the supermarket till can work out the card hasn't enough on it.
