Late morning we say our goodbyes and leave 'Chez Amies'.
Nick's back is being a bit creaky so we decide to postpone heading further south until, hopefully, a couple of days' drugs and rest make it better.
After a short stop at Mimizan Carrefour we drive the short journey back to the lakeside aire at Gastes, which we really enjoyed last Saturday.
There is some entertainment when a van tries to leave but the bollard won't go down. A crowd gathers, the municipal officer arrives and tries with another ticket then calls the local Bollardier who, after making his way through the spectators, works his magic, releases the captives and sends them on their way.
A sight-seeing sea-plane makes circuits of the lake flying very low over its surface.
It is a very peaceful place and worth every single one of the 800 cents it costs to stay here.
In the evening there is a colourful sunset through a mackerel-cloud sky.
