My last few days in BsAs were mainly spent finishing present shopping and saying bye to friends. However, there was one unusual event...a really strange storm! The rain was so torrential that it quickly flooded streets, and there were hailstones the size of golfballs! You may think I'm kidding, but I'm not! Evidence of this is the holes in the hostel's skylights! Luckily the hostel wasn't too badly damaged and we (Polly and I) were able to spend our last night there.

In true Fitz Roy style we did an Asado and played Ring of Fire on our last night before heading to Roxy nightclub. A fun night was had by all! As most didn't go to bed until the early hours of our last day we didn't have time to do much before we had to leave for the airport. However, we managed to squeeze in one last lunch at Bar Limbo, and I can honestly say it was one of my funniest lunches ever! I think the staff thought we (Guy, Dee, Polly and I) were crazy as we were giggling so much. However, the laughter stopped when the dreaded moment came when it was time to go to the airport.

It wasn't until I had been in the taxi a few mins that it hit me I was actually leaving and I burst into tears! What a softy, eh?! Luckily, I had Polly with me - I don't know what I would have done without her. In all honesty I don't know what I would have done without her for the past six months - thanks for everything Poll!

Our flight back to Heathrow (London) went smoothly and without any delays. However, I extended my trip by staying at Polly's house on Saturday night! Come Sunday though it was time to fly back to Newcastle.

On the flight home I thought about all the things I've done and all the people I've met, and I can safely say that the past six months have been the best of my life so far. I can't believe my trip is over, and I guess the saying "Time flies by when you're having fun" is certainly true in my case, as I've never had as much fun as what I had in South America, especially in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
