Lucy in South America!
Well we left El Calafate 12.00 noon on Friday and after two coach journeys we got to Puerto Madryn 12.00 noon on Saturday! It wasn't too bad though, as I slept most of the way. On Saturday we met up with Edd and went for a walk along the beach and saw the sunset, which was really beautiful. On Sunday we went to the Peninsula Valdes, which is a massive open area (we covered 420kms!) of wildlife. We saw osterrichs, sea lions, elephant seals and an armadillo! However, the main attraction of the Peninsula at this time of year is the whales. Unfortunately, we only saw them from a beach (Playa Doradilla) because the sea was too rough for us to be able to take a boat ride, which was a shame, but at least we saw some!
