This week has been very good. I have settled into my house and feel happy and safe there. However I have still to use that outside kitchen!!
Work has been good. I have met lots of new people and several of them speak English. Mind you all of them are new and the average age is 12 - or at least it seems to be.
Tuesday was congress day which included a party. I ended up learning a Khmer dance. Here's a new idea - men here like to dance. They actually like doing specific steps and took great delight in trying to teach me!!
Today the planning team invited me for breakfast, which was really great as I do not have a friendly restaurant here (yet). I was so proud when the owner came over and asked the man next to me what I wanted and I replied "Buy Moun" "Kafe donut" which in my mind means "Rice chicken, coffee iced" - which is exactly what I got. Sadly the coffee had sugar in it. Nothing is perfect.
I am now in PP ready to interview 3 people for the role of my project assistant. Here's hoping the week finishes as well as it started.

Jan No friendly cafe, not used the kitchen! What are you eating?
Stephen Sounds good Liz ... looks like you are having a productive time.
Chris Hi Liz, been out of touch for a couple of weeks as I'm in SA on holiday, we have another 8 days before we return to a freezing U.K, but it's good to read things continue to go well for you. Good luck with the interview.
