I have to say the journey here was disappointing as for the first time the rubbish was really bad. This surprised me as I am in the main tourist area, other than Siem Reap. The town itself is nothing to get excited about but the beach and sea are lovely. If I was wanting a break I would go to Kep. Koh Kong or Kampot rather than here.
The course has been really good for several reasons.
1. It is about School Report Cards - producing data about a school in a form that everyone can understand. So as you can imagine I am in my element.
2. It is in English - joy of joy a course run just for me - it was excellently translated by someone from the ministry. However as soon as the facilitator was out of the room it was obvious no-one really understood what he wanted them to do. So it was good because I am now even more determined not to run workshops but to work one to one, or to get Bunthorn to deliver sessions in Khmer.
3. I am beginning to be accepted by people from other provinces as I have now been to so many of these workshops.
4. I got to know the facilitator who is going to include me in any e-mails while they are developing the report card.
The beach - lovely but still more rubbish than I have come to expect. I spent a great evening watching the three grown men I am travelling with playing with their new toys - selfie sticks. After that we went for the best meal yet.
One step too far - I have discovered something I just cannot try. Maybe when I have been here longer, maybe I should be able to swallow them but for now I had to claim I wasn't hungry. Embryo eggs - or as Bunthorn said baby ducks. As I said a step too far for now!!

Jan Looking at the map I see this is a completely different part of Cambodia for you and the first time you have been to the sea there. I think steering clear of embryo eggs sounds wise.
